On Sunday, May 6, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will hear a talk on current immigration problems, presented by Merilyn Moorhead.

Merilyn points out that "Since last summer, when Peter Morales and several other UU leaders were jailed after protesting the Arizona laws--which many consider an unjust approach to the immigration problem--the issue has become a major concern of UUs."

She adds that "Some of the many ways in which deportations, and even the threat of such a possibility, affects families will be discussed,  as well as some of the myths and misinformation surrounding illegal immigration."

Ms. Moorhead is very active with a number of faith-based and secular community service organizations, including Project Outreach and The League of Women Voters.

The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall and child care will be provided.  The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza.  Turn East on Greenbriar Drive off North Pagosa Boulevard by the Fire Station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.

All are welcome!
